Consequently the code I generate works across quite a range of OSX releases. These are big projects, hundreds of thousands of lines of code each. I'm running 10.12.6 for my main dev machine and a 10.6.8 VM for another basically the OSX that was extant when the project was launched in each case. Apple's far too willing to move the ground underneath the API feet, as it were, to ensure that I'm not suddenly disenfranchising your users.

If you want to have a stable dev environment, the last thing I would want to do is install every OSX release. Pretty much the same thing for Macports, etc. Mount the EFI partition at the efi mount point. We can create a directory called efi within /Volumes by running the following command: mkdir /Volumes/efi.

On Mac OS X, mount points are typically created in /Volumes. I can't recommend it unless it's actually needed, because unless one is upgrading OSX right along with every release, eventually it'll stop working. A mount point is a directory where a non-booted volume is mounted.

Keep in mind this is my personal IMHO, please: Question: Q: SD Card will not mount on Macbook Pro Mid 2012 (non-retina), tried everything I am trying to use a PNY 4GB SD Card on my Macbook Pro Mid-2012 (non-retina), but I cannot get it to mount or for the Macbook to even see it's there. In my case, it was /dev/disk1s1 (NO NAME matches the title that showed up in Finder when I inserted the card so this is a hint as to which one is the one I am looking for) listed at the bottom of the mount command. Take note of the SD card device that shows up.
